|Our pet dog for almost fifteen years Ben was quietly put to sleep after being
diagnosed with inoperable cancer by the vet, Nick Carter, at Camelford in
Cornwall. Both Christine and I were there to give Ben a hug as he went to sleep
in our arms - very sad but dignified!
Ben came into our lives at ten weeks old
from the Isle of Wight. He was a very placid dog who also had a stubborn
streak when he did not want to do something.
He travelled with us on our adventures in the Med, throughout France
and our round trip through the Baltic, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland
and also came with us on our numerous sailing and motorhome trips round
